War? Promise?

Ok..Today I was at the gym, watching a little TV while on the treadmill. While they started talkin about Obama. He promised to get troops out Iraq. He PROMISED! Well, troops have nearly tripled while he has been president and it is expected that more will be sent in the near future...No matter how much you hear him say "we'll have them out of there soon" or anything along those lines he is clearly making and breakin promises. That's not cool. While there are more issues about obama I would love to discuss, but will hold back for right now that is all I really wanted to say. Also, that I never believed him for a second..because I'm pretty sure he has not come through on any of his promises..Oh wait there was that stimulus package that he promised...that put us a couple trillion dollars in debt... Hey thanks, Obama. You sure are swell!

Welcome to Miami...

Well, I just returned from a great trip to Miami, Florida. Now..I love Florida in general, but Miami is amazing! I love every second of it, such a great city, my kind of place definitely. Anyway, we...which is my parents and I flew into Miami at about 10 at night ok it was really Fort Lauderdale, but it is basically the same thing. So we find a hotel and go to the exact spot that they tell us to wait for them and it should be 10 or 15 minutes...Well 15 minutes went by then 20 then 30 and no sign of our hotel shuttle...So we hoped on a different one and stayed there. Get the hotel and what not..go to sleep excited to go to the beach and watch some baseball! After breakfast my mom decides that we do need to rent a car so this means we ave to go all the way back to the airport. When they asked us "Do you want a camery or a scion?" my mom turns to me and asked what I would prefer...Now see my mom doesn't know wha scions are and I had a pretty good idea that this was going to be a toaster and not one of the cool scions, but still fast. and then a camery reminds me of old people so I just said "scion" hahahahaha. So we finally get to or car and sure enough it is a square toaster for a car and I laugh freakin hard! and my mom goes "OH Desi! thanks alot..You knew what it was did't you?" and then she kinda laughs, but you can ell she hates it. I go dn't worry mom it's fast! Ok so me and my dad get in the car and my mom was checking out this scratch and what not and she is out there along time and it was getting hot so i get out and go "Mom! can we go? It's freakin hot!" and she was back there trying to figure out how to open the bck ofhe car...haaha and then of course she got mad and said you guys didn't help me and blah blah..my fault..i know. Alright so we all finally get in the car and this sign sas DO NOT ENTER so what does my mom do..she enters and all the worker guys were laughing and I was too, but then I got blamed for that to for not telling my mom she could't do that. I thougt she was aware...We are finally going the right way and as my mom accelerates to turn the car takes off and the wheels squil and I laugh..of course my mom did too and she was like "Whoa this is fast" and I think my dad was irritated at this point...Anyway We're off to the beach and it was awesome I love the beach I saw some aussies and we all know I love them aussies. So after the beach..We go to the hotel..well actually we go to taco bell..yum! and then the hotel and get ready for the Game! woo! At the game I got attacked my the marlins manitees and they passesd out Clapper noise maker things that we annoying as frick and I made fun of Wandy Rodrigez and said it Wandy Wodwigez...haha...after the game we got to go see Josh and his cute family..So precious. ummm well I think that is all the good stuff of the trip the next day we went home and the was oh so much fun..oh wait it wasn't. haha

A day with my mama...

On Saturday I told my mom that we never hang out anymore. It's true we don't. Sooo...I may have guilted her into spending the day with me. Ok. I did, but she totally doesn't regret it now. It's always good fun. Well it started out with us driving to Old Navy. While on the freeway I was telling her stories of ...everything. Like the two guys I met on the way home from Australia and other stuff when in the middle of my story I yell "The Jazz Bear!!" We saw the Jazz bear on a motorcycle on the freeway and he was driving like a crazy ass haha...my mom kinda freaked out, but it's ok. Then we were behind a truck pulling a boat, and one of the wheels on the trailer pulling the boat blew out and my mom mom screamed bloody murder I'm pretty sure. She was like "IT"S GONNA GO OUT OF CONTROL!!!" It didn't, but I told my mom to murge out of the way and she funally did and I said "Yes, please stay behind the boat." haha and my mom laughed sooooo hard! haha. We both did. Alright so we go to Old Navy and blah blah. Then when we get back in the car my mom put's on her lipstick and I go did you know wearing lipstick increases your chances of getting cancer because of the small amount of lead that is in it. My mom freaks out again and then says "Well, ya know I haven't been wearing lipstick for that long"...." just like since right after you were born.....20 years ago." hahahaha we both lauged so hard. 20 years is kind of a long time. Ok sooo then we get to Macy's and we see this cute dress that is a weid yellow, but it is so pretty and it also has blak and silver on it so I say "Hey mom...these would be fun wedding colors! " my mother says "Desi, These colors won't be in style YEARS down the road." haha I was like " Wow, thank you." then she tried to take words back,but I know what she really thinks. hmmm..Well I think that is all of the funny things that happened...haha..yeah. Oh yeah my mom told me I had a big butt...and I was like uhhh...Thanks. ok now thats it. :)

Over-rated...The end.

Alright. The movie "Inception" is definitely a movie that is over rated, seriously. There was so much hype about it. I mean an insane amount of hype. It was coming from everywhere and everyone. I was pretty excited to see it, but I left the theatre disappointed. Don't get me wrong it was a good movie. It had a cool story line and all and the concept of the idea of inception was way sweet, but the movie it's self was not all that cool. It didn't really make you think all that much because they explained every little thing in full detail at the beggining. It left nothin for you to guess about or leave anything a mystery. You knew exactly what they had to do and what they were going to do. You know what I'm saying? I guess I could have figured this, because the exact same thing happened with the movie "Avatar" That movie got so much hype as well and there I was..left with all my disappointment. Yes, the graphics were amazing and the action was cool, but what about the story line...DUMB! So both movies good in different ways and in their own ways and just in general, but there is no way that they were THAT good that they deserved all that hype. My opinion, obviously, but there ya go.

Adventure is worthwhile...

You may have noticed that in alot of my posts I mention something me about being single or never getting married or anything along those lines really, well lately I think that I might have been bummin' about all that. Ok not just I think..it's definitely I know I have been, especially when I make jokes about being single. Which I have been doing, ALOT...Today I read a quote from Amelia Earhart "Adventure is worthwhile." I completely agree with that. In the last year or so I have been on lots of adventures that I don't think I would have gone if I were not single. These adventures I wouldn't change for anything. While being 20 and single is way weird for someone in Utah, everyone outside of Utah tells me to live my life. I have my whole life to be married or to date.Even though I hate seeing super cute couples everywhere I go an think that "that will never be me" haha. I am ok with it. I am having too much fun, plus we all know Desiree loves to be different so if that means not to get married until I'm 28. so be it. There are so many adventures that I want to go on before I start a new kind of adventure. Maybe getting out of Utah would help? Hmm.. I'm sure it would anyway...Yep. I'm single and ......accepting it:) haha

Finally, Football is back!

I realize that it is now August and I have not posted anything for far too long. I believe it is because my life ha hit a boring phase for a minute or two or seven. I do have great news though...Football Season is here! I am so excited. No matter what there is always something to look forward to on Sunday and sometimes Saturday and the occasional Monday. Oh and we must not forget, Thursday..Thanksgiving of course!I really can not express how much excitment I have for fooball to begin and get underway! Tonight was actually a Hall of Fame game. Dallas Cowboys vs. Cinncinati Bengals. If you are not aware I LOVE the Cowboys and they didn't let me down tonight, they won! Praise the Lord! It was even better because T.O. who use to play for the Cowboys, but then went to the Bills for last season and is now with the Bengals was there. Ya'll know him..He gets cocky and what not, but don't get me wrong deep down I love him and I do miss him on the Cowboys. He always made me laugh. He can be a butterfingers, but he usually wouldn't let ya down. Anyway, tonight I also saw my boyfriend, Marion Barber if you just look over to the right one here you will see his precious face and yes...he is still un-aware of me being his girlfriend. :) Anyway. Go Cowboys! xxxx
